Club Leadership

Jason Best is the founder of Paladin Sports Outreach, established in 2008 with a mission to impact communities through sports, mentorship, and faith-based leadership. As Club Director, he provides vision and leadership for Paladin Soccer Club, shaping its culture, coaching standards, and long-term development model.

Jason brings over 20 years of coaching experience across all levels of the game, from recreational and club soccer to the collegiate level. He currently serves as the Head Coach for Girls Soccer at Eastmark High School in Mesa, Arizona, where he continues to develop and mentor student-athletes.

A former collegiate two-sport athlete, Jason competed at Moorpark College and Chapman University. He is a certified personal trainer with specialized certifications in performance enhancement and sport-specific strength and conditioning for soccer players. He also holds Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certifications from FC Barcelona, along with additional U.S. Soccer coaching licenses.

Jason earned his MBA in Marketing and has worked in professional sports and sports marketing since 2004. His background in leadership, branding, and organizational development plays a key role in building Paladin into a mission-driven, high-impact club.

He is passionate about developing not only skilled athletes, but confident, disciplined leaders who compete with integrity and purpose. Jason and his wife, Cindy, have four children: Aaron, Hannah, Sarah, and Carson.

Lindsay brings a high-level playing background and a deep passion for player development to her role as Club Technical Director. She played for the Utah Olympic Development Program and competed at a high level in club soccer, including time in the WPSL with So Cal Rush.

Lindsay went on to be a four-year starter at Louisiana Tech University, where she served as team captain her senior year. During her collegiate career, she began coaching with Ruston Soccer Club, laying the foundation for her long-term commitment to developing young athletes.

Following college, Lindsay coached with Utah Avalanche Soccer Club and led private training sessions, working closely with players to refine technical ability and game understanding. She also spent over a decade in the health and fitness industry, coaching strength and endurance classes, which informs her holistic approach to athlete development.

As Technical Director, Lindsay helps shape the club’s playing philosophy, training methodology, and long-term player development model. She is passionate about building a consistent, age-appropriate curriculum that develops strong technical players, confident decision-makers, and athletes who play the game with intelligence and purpose.

Lindsay believes the foundation of great soccer begins with mastery of the ball, attention to detail, and a love for the game. She is committed to equipping both players and coaches with the tools needed to grow, compete, and thrive.

She is married and a mother of five, and brings both leadership and a relational approach to everything she does within the club.

Antonia is a dedicated goalkeeper coach with a lifelong passion for developing the position at a high level. Originally from Riverside, California, she began playing soccer at a young age and specialized as a goalkeeper, building a strong technical foundation and advanced understanding of the position.

She continued her academic and athletic career at Iowa State University, where she competed as a goalkeeper while earning a full academic and athletic scholarship. During her time in college, she also served as a goalkeeper coach for Iowa Rush, where she focused on developing footwork, positioning, shot-stopping technique, and distribution in young players.

Antonia’s coaching emphasizes the complete development of the modern goalkeeper. She trains athletes in core technical areas including handling, diving mechanics, footwork, positioning, and communication, while also developing decision-making, confidence, and command of the game. She is passionate about helping goalkeepers understand not just how to make saves, but how to read the game, organize the defense, and play an active role in build-up.

She has made an immediate impact at the youth and high school levels, helping lead Carson Junior High to a Mesa Public Schools Boys Championship during the 2024–2025 season and continuing to coach there today. She also serves as the goalkeeper coach for the Eastmark High School girls soccer program, where she mentors and develops athletes both on and off the field.

Antonia is committed to building confident, technically sound goalkeepers who can lead from the back and compete at the next level.

2026-27 Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Jason Best

Jason founded Paladin Sports Outreach in 2008. He has over 20 years of coaching experience at all levels of play, from recreation to college. He is currently the Head Coach for Girls Soccer at Eastmark High School in Mesa, AZ.

Jason was a collegiate two-sport athlete at Moorpark College and Chapman University and is a certified personal trainer with certifications in Performance Enhancement as well as sport-specific Strength & Conditioning for Soccer Players. He holds Level 1 and 2 Coaching certifications from FC Barcelona along with other USSF licenses.

Jason received his MBA, Marketing in 2009 and has worked in professional sports since 2004. He and his wife, Cindy, have four children, Aaron, Hannah, Sarah and Carson.

Head Coach: Hannah Crofts

Hannah brings a high-level playing background and a passion for player development to her coaching. A highly decorated high school player in Arizona, she earned multiple honors for her performance and impact on the field, establishing herself as a standout competitor.

She continued her career at the collegiate level, where she competed and developed her game further, and went on to play at the semi-professional level. Her experience across these levels gives her a strong understanding of what it takes to develop and compete at higher levels of the game.

With over five years of coaching experience, Hannah creates a structured, high-expectation training environment while maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere for her players. She is committed to helping athletes build strong technical foundations, confidence, and a competitive mindset, all while fostering a genuine love for the game.

Hannah believes development should be both challenging and enjoyable, and she is passionate about helping players take pride in their growth and performance on the field.

Head Coach: Jerry Bolanos

Coach Bolanos brings over 15 years of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for the game to Paladin Soccer Club. Originally from Southern California, he began playing at a young age and quickly advanced from recreational to competitive club soccer.

At age 12, he had the opportunity to compete in a tournament in Mexico City hosted by the Club América Youth Academy, an experience that helped shape his love for the game and competitive mindset.

Jerry has coached players from ages 5 to 12 across Southern California and Arizona, where he has continued investing in youth development over the past two years. He is committed to helping players build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game in a positive and encouraging environment.

He earned his degree from the University of Southern California and spent over 30 years in the accounting field before transitioning into a role supporting individuals in behavioral health. Jerry and his wife, along with their son Isaac, moved to Arizona in 2023 and have enjoyed becoming part of the community.

Head Coach: David Nosiru

Coach David has been coaching youth athletes for over two years, working in both soccer and flag football. In Winter 2026, he served as Offensive Coordinator for a championship 6U flag football team, helping lead a successful season.

Originally from Texas, David grew up playing multiple sports and excelled in track and field, which influences his coaching style with an emphasis on speed, conditioning, and overall athletic development.

David is passionate about mentoring young athletes and believes coaching extends beyond the game. He focuses on teaching responsibility, honesty, hard work, respect, and accountability, helping players grow both on and off the field.

He and his wife, Jackie, have two children, Royce and Christiana, and three dogs. Outside of coaching, David enjoys competing in an adult kickball league year-round.


Head Coach: Lindsay Karren

Lindsay brings a high-level playing and coaching background to Paladin Soccer Club. She played for the Utah Olympic Development Program and competed in club soccer throughout her youth, including time in the WPSL with So Cal Rush.

She was a four-year starter at Louisiana Tech University and served as team captain her senior year. During college, she also began coaching with Ruston Soccer Club, sparking a continued passion for developing young athletes.

After graduating, Lindsay coached with Utah Avalanche Soccer Club and provided private training, while also spending ten years in the health and fitness industry coaching strength and endurance classes.

Lindsay is passionate about helping players develop strong technical skills, confidence, and a genuine love for the game. She is married and has five children.

Head Coach: Samy Castaneda

Coach Samy Castaneda is entering his third year coaching with Paladin Soccer Club, after previously coaching in Paladin’s recreational program for three years. He also brings experience coaching basketball at both the youth and high school levels before moving to Arizona from California in 2018.

Samy is passionate about helping players grow in both skill and confidence. He believes there are few better rewards than watching athletes work hard and see that effort translate into improvement on the field.

He is committed to developing not just soccer players, but well-rounded athletes and young men, using sport as a platform to teach teamwork, discipline, and character. Samy and his wife, Krystal, have two sons who play at Paladin.

Head Coach: Colleen Zinn

Colleen, an Arizona native, brings a diverse and competitive athletic background to her coaching. She played both club soccer and basketball growing up and earned a collegiate basketball scholarship, competing at the college level for two years.

Following her collegiate career, Colleen continued to compete at a high level across multiple disciplines. She earned state and national titles in BMX racing and later found success in strongwoman competitions. Her athletic journey also includes completing marathons and half marathons, reflecting her commitment to discipline, endurance, and personal growth.

Colleen discovered her passion for coaching through working with her son and his teammates, which quickly grew into coaching at the club level. Now in her third year with Paladin, she is committed to developing confident, hardworking players while instilling values of teamwork, resilience, and accountability.

Head Coach: Aaron Best

Aaron Best is a Christian, husband, and father who is passionate about using sports to shape young athletes into strong, virtuous individuals. He played both basketball and soccer in high school and went on to compete in rugby at the collegiate level.

With over 20 years in the Valley, Aaron brings both life experience and a relational approach to coaching. He believes sports provide one of the best environments to teach discipline, character, and hard work, and he is committed to helping his players grow both on and off the field.

Aaron and his wife have one son and two dogs, and as a family they enjoy Dodger baseball and Vikings football.

Head Coach: Ethan Crofts

Ethan Crofts has played soccer at every level, including club, high school, college, and semi-professional competition. Originally from Silverton, Oregon, he brings both playing experience and a strong foundation in leadership and mentorship to his coaching.

During college, Ethan served as president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and completed an internship with the organization. He also spent several years as a YoungLife leader, investing in students both on and off the field.

Ethan is a husband and father who is passionate about his faith and about using soccer as a platform to build relationships, develop character, and inspire growth. He is excited to share his knowledge of the game and help players grow in both skill and confidence.
